From Downtown Ann Arbor
Take Huron Avenue east until it becomes Washtenaw Avenue. Take
Washtenaw Avenue east (away from downtown) for approximately
two miles, at which point there will be a traffic light where
Stadium Boulevard merges from the right with Washtenaw Avenue.
Within a short distance, there will be another traffic light
at Manchester Road. Turn right onto Manchester Road, and follow
Manchester Road around the sharp left curve. Summers-Knoll
School is immediately on your left, next to the water tower.
From the East
Take I-94 West to Exit 180B, US-23 North toward Ann Arbor. Take
Exit 37B, Washtenaw Avenue West. Merge onto Washtenaw Avenue and
continue for 1.3 miles. You will pass Arborland Mall on your right,
followed by Barnes & Noble
(on your right, at Huron Parkway) and Washtenaw County Recreation
Building (on your left, at Platt Road). The next traffic light after
Platt is Manchester Road. From the left-turn lane, turn left onto
Manchester Road, and follow Manchester Road around the sharp left
curve. Summers-Knoll School is immediately on your left, next to
the water tower.
From the West
If outside of Ann Arbor, approach Ann Arbor via I-94 East to Exit 180B, taking US-23 North towards Ann Arbor. From that point, follow the above directions for approach from the east.
If within Ann Arbor, approach via Stadium Boulevard. A traffic light marks the point where Stadium merges with Washtenaw Avenue. Within a short distance, there will be another traffic light at Manchester Road. Turn right onto Manchester Road, and follow Manchester Road around the sharp left curve. Summers-Knoll School is immediately on your left, next to the water tower.
From the North or South
If outside of Ann Arbor, approach the city via US-23 and
follow the directions above for "From the East".
If within Ann Arbor, follow Huron Parkway from the north or Platt Road from the south to Washtenaw Avenue westbound at the Whole Foods/Barnes and Noble plaza. From that point, follow the directions above for "From the East".
